We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Mohs Tech to join our team at US Derm Support Roles. As a Mohs Tech, you will play a critical role in supporting our dermatology lab by accessioning specimens, preparing slide trays, and maintaining lab organization and maintenance.
Responsibilities- Process and handle specimens in accordance with laboratory procedures and protocols.
- Prepare slide trays and maintain accurate records of patient test results.
- Adhere to laboratory quality control policies and procedures, including instrument and procedural calibrations and maintenance.
- Identify and correct problems that may affect test performance or reporting of test results.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the lab director.
- Associate's degree in a science-related field is required; Bachelor's degree is preferred.
- Previous experience in a lab environment is preferred.
- Must be flexible with hours to meet workflow demands.
- Knowledge of general medical terminology is preferred.
- Ability to type a minimum of 45 wpm with minimal errors is preferred.
- Must possess attention to detail and excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to work well in a team environment and maintain confidentiality of patient information.
