Project Superintendent

At LOOP, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Superintendent to join our team. This is a unique opportunity to work on a variety of projects, from small to large-scale construction projects, and to take on a leadership role in managing daily operations on job sites.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of construction projects, including mechanical, architectural, civil, and electrical. They will work closely with project stakeholders to promote the interests of both the business and the client in all matters.

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong leadership and decision-making skills, as well as the ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management, with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience and 5 years of leadership or management experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage development and maintenance of project schedule, including reoccurring updates of the status of the project.
  • React appropriately and timely to schedule challenges to maintain a project's schedule.
  • Competently interpret all contract documents and understand the scope of work involved.
  • Manage the review of plans and drawings in accordance with contract documents and the coordination of shop drawings.
  • Participate in meetings with owner representatives, architects, and engineers, providing information and progress reports.
  • Ensure all clarifications, changes, and RFIs are updated and adhered to with company supervision and all subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Responsible for daily reports, progress reports, compliance reports & logs.
  • Coordinate and oversee regulatory inspections.
  • Support the project team in the development of RFIs.
  • Participate in specification review to establish scopes of work and develop an overall project schedule.
  • Work with preconstruction and business development teams as required to evaluate a project and develop a plan for completion.
  • Help the estimator in developing a general conditions package.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant construction experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of construction leadership or management experience.
  • Experience managing all aspects of construction projects, including mechanical, architectural, civil, and electrical.
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings.
  • Strong communications skills, both verbally & written to both internally and externally.
  • Proven knowledge of relevant local, state, & federal rules & regulations, including OSHA.
  • Strong leadership and decision-making skills.
  • Results-driven and effective time management skills.
