Business Intelligence Developer

Join Southern Farm Bureau Life Insurance as a Business Intelligence Developer and contribute to the success of our organization. As a key member of our Business Intelligence team, you will design, develop, and implement reporting and visualizations to support strategic initiatives and innovative business practices.
Responsibilities:- Stay up-to-date with current trends and best practices in the insurance industry.
- Design, develop, and implement reporting and visualizations using data from the data warehouse, source systems, and BI solutions.
- Monitor and tune BI visualizations and reports to ensure optimal performance.
- Work with senior BI developers to confirm data accuracy and ensure that dashboards and reporting show business performance.
- Gain business and system knowledge from senior employees to improve and build insights that provide business recommendations.
- Provide reporting services to all Farm Bureau states with assistance from senior BI developers.
- Ensure quality control in the implementation of systems and software to automate reporting.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Mathematics.
- Successful completion of the Wonderlic aptitude test.
- Basic knowledge of the Farm Bureau organization and SFBLI products, systems, and programs.
- Working-level knowledge of SQL.
- Experience with Crystal Reports and SSRS.
- Power BI experience and DAX formulas or comparable tools like Tableau.
- Skilled user in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, Power Query, VBA's, Macros, etc.).
- Database knowledge and data gathering skills.
- Forward thinking and driven individual with problem-solving skills.
- Ability to learn quickly and strive for improvement.
- Strong organizational and planning skills.

- Ability to work with others effectively and meet organizational goals and customer expectations.
