Position Overview
As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for traveling to various client locations primarily within the Chicagoland area, with a focus on providing exceptional service without the need for overnight stays. Your role will involve collaborating with engineering teams to initiate and commission customer systems across electronic, electrical, and pneumatic domains.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interpret and modify drawing packages as necessary.
  • Establish workstations equipped with the required software.
  • Maintain communication with project managers regarding project status and timelines.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues during the startup and maintenance phases.

Technical Skills Required
  • Proficiency in electronic systems.
  • Experience with electrical systems.
  • Knowledge of pneumatic systems.
  • Ability to read and update technical drawings.
  • Competence in setting up software applications.

Work Environment
Your work will primarily take place at customer sites, including data centers and educational institutions. While there is an office available, field technicians typically operate independently and utilize a company-provided vehicle, tools, computer, and mobile device.

Team Collaboration
Occasionally, you may collaborate with other technicians depending on project size, but much of your work will be conducted autonomously.
