Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Structural Design Engineer to join our team at Becker Morgan. As a key member of our Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AE&C) firm, you will be responsible for designing structural systems for a variety of building types, including residential and commercial.

Key Responsibilities
  • Structural Design: Develop and create detailed structural designs for buildings and other structures using industry-standard software such as AutoCAD and Revit.
  • Design and Analysis: Design steel, concrete, timber, and masonry structural systems to meet client needs and regulatory requirements, and perform structural analysis to ensure the stability and strength of structures.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with architects, MEP engineers, and other design professionals to coordinate project designs, and attend project meetings and site visits to understand client needs and project goals.
  • Technical Documentation: Prepare structural design drawings, specifications, and calculations for project engineers to review and approve, and ensure all designs comply with relevant building codes, safety standards, and engineering principles.
  • Project Management Support: Assist the lead engineer and project manager in planning, scheduling, and managing project timelines and budgets, and coordinate with contractors during the construction phase to resolve design and installation issues.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field required.
  • Experience: 2+ years of experience in structural design.
  • Skills: Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products, and experience with AutoCAD and Revit.
