Job Summary

MedStar Health is seeking a skilled Echocardiograph Technologist to conduct echocardiogram studies and provide diagnostic evaluations. The ideal candidate will have a background in cardiac ultrasound and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform echocardiograms for newborn, adult, and geriatric patients
  • Receive and review physician orders for inpatient and outpatient procedures
  • Prepare patients for procedures, considering their physical, psychosocial, and cultural needs
  • Examine the heart from various echo views, assessing wall motion, valve function, and chamber size
  • Recognize significant pathology and notify interpreting physicians of critical results
  • Assist with stress tests and EKGs as needed
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Credentialed technician with background in cardiac ultrasound or allied health field

Compensation: $34.98 - $59.26 per hour
