Lighthouse Lab Services is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Toxicology General Supervisor to join their team in a laboratory setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine testing, quality control, calibration, maintenance, and proficiency testing in accordance with current laboratory procedures.
- Follow CLIA, HIPAA, OSHA, and safety guidelines as described in their respective guidelines.
- Provide day-to-day supervision of high complexity test performance.
- Monitor test analyses and specimen examinations to ensure that acceptable levels of analytic performance are maintained.
- Ensure that patient test results are not reported until all corrective actions have been taken and the tests properly functioning.
- Provide training to all testing personnel.
- Annually evaluate and document the performance of all testing personnel.
- Perform other duties as directed.
Candidate Profile:
- Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, Medical Technology, or a related science.
- Qualify as testing personnel under CLIA guidelines and have at least 1 year of laboratory training or experience in high complexity testing.
- MT (ASCP) or equivalent preferred.
- Experience with Agilent 6420 preferred.
- Previous experience with toxicology sample prep.
