Veterinary Care Technician

VCA Animal Diagnostic Clinic is looking for a dedicated full-time Animal Care Technician to enhance our Internal Medicine department.
Compensation: $15.00/hr

We are equipped to handle advanced cases utilizing state-of-the-art technology and diagnostic methods. We emphasize the full utilization of technician assistant skills, delivering top-tier medical care and exceptional patient support. Our exemplary medical services are a collective effort, integrating expertise from various specialty areas such as Critical Care, Internal Medicine, Cardiology, Oncology, and our 24-hour ICU.
Key Responsibilities of the Animal Care Technician:
- Exercise and walk patients
- Perform laundry and general cleaning duties
- Assist in restraining animals for blood draws, examinations, and diagnostic tests
- Support the intake process for all appointments, including surgeries and rechecks
- Capture and upload images of new patients admitted to Internal Medicine
- Record and report patient vitals using our Woofware software
- Maintain cleanliness and order in kennels
- Ensure patient comfort and hygiene
- Restock food sample containers and clean them as necessary
- Collaborate effectively with team members across all hospital services
- Provide compassionate care to all patients
- Manage supply restocking as needed
Work Schedule: Full-time.
