The Critical Power division at M.C. Dean, Inc. is dedicated to delivering reliable maintenance and installation services for uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), battery systems, and other essential power equipment.

This role is ideal for individuals eager to expand their knowledge in critical power applications. Candidates should possess strong problem-solving skills, a commitment to customer service, and the ability to work independently following comprehensive training.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Acquire knowledge in critical power and battery systems, including safety protocols and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Install battery systems, conduct electrical measurements, and verify circuit continuity using appropriate tools.
  • Identify and rectify issues in malfunctioning systems and components through the use of diagnostic equipment and hand tools.
  • Generate maintenance tickets to ensure compliance with original equipment manufacturer (OEM) standards.
  • Be prepared for travel requirements, potentially up to 75% of the time.

Candidate Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Successful completion of a background check and drug screening.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Experience working in a Microsoft Windows environment.
  • Ability to adapt to dynamic work conditions and manage varying workloads.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven time management and organizational abilities to meet deadlines and quality standards.
  • Proficient in using smart devices and multiple web-based applications.
  • Commitment to excellence and high-quality output.
  • Consistent punctuality and teamwork to achieve common objectives while maintaining a safe work environment.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with customer service principles and practices.
  • Current NFPA 70e certification.
  • OSHA 10/30 certification.
  • Battery OEM certification.

Compensation and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $21.53 per hour. We offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes:

Physical Requirements:

  • Frequent walking, climbing, lifting, squatting, crawling, kneeling, pushing, pulling, and reaching overhead.
  • Good vision (correctable) and the ability to distinguish colors, along with effective hearing and communication skills in English.
