We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Analysis Specialist to join our finance team at Great American Insurance Group. This role will be based in our Cincinnati office and will involve a hybrid schedule.
Key Responsibilities- Develop complex financial models to analyze the impact of new business opportunities, capitalized expenditures, market conditions, and reinsurance strategies.
- Support the annual budget and planning process for our business unit, including forecasting premium, expenses, staffing levels, and operating metrics.
- Conduct in-depth financial analysis to identify trends and developments in competitive environments and present findings to senior management.
- Design and implement analytical tools to support management decision-making, including sensitivity and scenario analysis.
- Provide technical guidance to lower-level positions and other functional areas.
- Lead the work of others, mentoring, prioritizing, delegating, and reviewing assignments.
- Contribute to special financial projects or studies for management.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- 5-8 years of related experience, including 2-3 years in the insurance industry.
- Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and/or Master's in Business Administration (MBA) and insurance-related certifications (Program in General Insurance (INS), Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU), etc.) are preferred.
