About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Coatings Application Specialist to join our team at Tidewater Staffing. As a marine spray painter, you will be responsible for applying epoxy and non-epoxy coatings to ship tanks, bilges, underwater hulls, freeboards, and other areas on a vessel requiring spray application of specified coatings.

Responsibilities
  • Apply epoxy and non-epoxy coatings using airless pumps, plural component pumps, and high volume low pressure air pumps.
  • Set up, use, clean, and breakdown equipment according to manufacturer's instructions.
  • Read, understand, and follow paint manufacturers' product data sheets.
Requirements
  • Two years of experience as a marine or industrial spray painter.
  • Must be 18 years old.
  • Experience working in physically demanding environments, confined spaces, and at heights.
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow verbal directions from supervisors.
  • Current SSPC MPAC C14 or SSPC C12 certification.
  • Reliable transportation.
