About this role

Job Summary

The Quality Assurance Technician coordinates all site inspections with site subcontractors to ensure all work is correctly prepared before any inspection is undertaken. This involves reviewing work procedures and method statements for compliance with excellent work practices and customer contract specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Review paint system compatibility
  • Qualify sand blasters and painters for client approval
  • Ensure readiness of QA/QC requirements before painting/coating application
  • Initiate inspection requests for client monitoring inspections
  • Calibrate/validation of sand blasting/painting equipment and tools
  • Monitor air temperature, dew point, and relative humidity
  • Inspect WFT and DTF using relevant inspection tools
  • Prepare inspection reports and internal NCRs

Requirements

  • US Citizenship Required
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Two years' experience in coatings systems removal and application
  • Previous experience as a Quality Assurance Inspector
  • Paint inspector certification from either SSPC or NACE International
  • Ability to work at extreme heights or in confined spaces
