Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Equipment Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Holt of California.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our rental equipment, performing routine maintenance tasks, and troubleshooting issues as needed.

In this role, you will work closely with our rental coordinators, mechanics, and other team members to ensure that our equipment is always in top condition and ready for rent. You will also assist with customer inquiries, resolve issues promptly, and provide exceptional customer service.

To be successful in this role, you must have a strong understanding of heavy equipment maintenance, repair, and operation. You should be able to work independently, prioritize tasks effectively, and communicate clearly with colleagues and customers.

We offer a competitive salary range of $17.00 - $21.50 per hour, depending on your experience and qualifications. In addition to your hourly rate, you will also receive excellent benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, long-term disability, 401(k), profit sharing, nine paid holidays, paid vacation, and paid sick time.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks on rental equipment, including oil changes, filter replacements, and tire rotations.
  • Troubleshoot issues with equipment, diagnose problems, and recommend repairs or replacement as needed.
  • Assist customers with equipment rentals, answering questions, and resolving issues promptly.
  • Work closely with rental coordinators to ensure that equipment is properly maintained and ready for rent.
  • Collaborate with mechanics to perform complex repairs and maintenance tasks.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., mechanical engineering, automotive technology) or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in heavy equipment maintenance, repair, and operation.
  • Strong understanding of Caterpillar equipment and systems.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for long periods, and work in a fast-paced environment.
