Cerelia Bakery Canada LP is seeking a seasoned quality professional to lead our day-to-day quality assurance activities, ensuring production quality standards and regulatory compliance in the food manufacturing industry. This role requires strong leadership skills, technical knowledge of quality control processes, and experience working with cross-functional teams.

As Lead Quality Assurance Technician, you will oversee daily activities of QA technicians, assign work, provide guidance, and ensure deliverables are met. You will also train technicians on inspection, documentation, testing procedures, and analytical equipment operation. Additionally, you will maintain records, conduct internal audits, and investigate non-conformances, complaints, or major defects, and assist with corrective and preventive actions.

The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of relevant quality assurance experience, preferably in food manufacturing or an associate degree in a related field (Quality Assurance, Food Science, Chemistry, etc.). They will possess knowledge of food safety programs, microbiological and sanitation concepts, and experience with regulatory concepts preferred. The selected candidate will be responsible for maintaining testing equipment and overseeing calibration programs, as well as liaising with production, maintenance, and other groups to resolve quality issues and drive continuous improvement.
