About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our Cardiac Surgery team at Hartford Hospital. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care from admission to discharge, managing pre-operative and post-operative cases, conducting assessments, documenting progress, and actively participating in rounds.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage pre-operative and post-operative cases for cardiac surgery patients
  • Conduct assessments and document patient progress
  • Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and contribute to patient care planning
  • Collaborate with cardiac specialists and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care

Requirements

  • Unrestricted State of Connecticut Medical License (or eligible)
  • Certified or board-eligible Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner
  • New graduates welcome to apply

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years' experience as a PA/APRN in cardiac/critical care setting
