Working Hours: Monday-Friday, 5 days of 8 hours each, between 7:00 AM and 6:00 PM

Position Summary: The Float Clinic Manager plays a vital role in overseeing the daily operations of our clinics on an as-needed basis. This position is responsible for ensuring efficient clinic functions, upholding high standards of patient care, training clinic personnel, and facilitating smooth operational processes. The role demands adaptability and the capacity to thrive in various clinic settings while providing consistent management and project support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the daily operations of assigned clinics on a float basis, ensuring an on-site presence, addressing coverage shortages, and adhering to clinic policies and procedures.
  • Resolve operational challenges, including staffing requirements, provider issues, patient complaints, equipment failures, supply shortages, and facility matters.
  • Maintain high standards of patient care and satisfaction by addressing concerns, providing assistance, and ensuring a positive patient experience.
  • Monitor and optimize patient flow processes to reduce wait times and enhance overall clinic efficiency.
  • Cross-train and support various clinic roles (medical assistant, check-in/out, LPN if applicable).
  • Promote standardization and uniformity in processes and patient experiences across the organization.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant healthcare regulations, standards, and protocols in clinic operations.
  • Act as a liaison between clinic staff, providers, and administrative teams to foster effective communication and collaboration.
  • Report operational issues to the Director of Clinical Operations and provide recommendations for enhancements.
  • Oversee clinic supplies and inventory management, ensuring adequate stock levels and timely ordering of necessary materials when covering for a clinic manager/coordinator.
  • Ensure proper maintenance and functionality of clinic equipment and facilities.
  • Support and guide clinic staff, including orientation and training, addressing performance issues, and contributing to annual performance reviews.
  • Assist in implementing new procedures or protocols as directed by senior management during long-term coverage.
  • Participate in the interviewing and hiring process for staff in assigned clinics or across clinics.
  • Manage the on-call coverage calendar for clinics.
  • Lead projects as assigned by senior leadership.
  • Coordinate staffing for float staff members to ensure seamless clinic operations during clinic manager PTO coverage.
  • Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) as assigned.
  • May have direct reports and/or time & attendance supervision responsibilities based on clinic coverage assignments.
  • Perform other duties as assigned and requested.

Qualifications:

  • AS or BS Degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in the healthcare sector with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • NY State Licensed LPN or RN is strongly preferred.

Working Conditions:

  • Typical working environment found in most office and medical office settings.
  • Minimal to moderate physical effort, including assisting patients with mobility.
  • Some lifting may be required, usually not exceeding 30 pounds.
  • Regular fine hand manipulation is necessary.
  • Associated health risks related to patient exposure, including body fluids and needles.

Travel Requirements:

  • Frequent travel between all Dent Neurologic Group LLP sites is required.

Compensation:

  • Most candidates will start within the first quartile of the pay range.
  • Compensation rates are commensurate with experience.
