The role of the Housekeeper is essential in maintaining the cleanliness and safety of both patient and non-patient areas within the healthcare facility. This position actively contributes to the overall quality and performance improvement initiatives of the department while adhering to established policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute a thorough cleaning and disinfection process by following a structured 7-step cleaning protocol.
  • Implement infection control measures by observing universal precautions and safety protocols during all tasks.
  • Ensure that all equipment, storage areas, and environmental closets are organized and well-maintained.
  • Identify and communicate any equipment needs or repair requirements for the facility's interior.
  • Embrace the principles of Service First in all interactions.
  • Complete all mandatory competencies as required by the hospital.
  • Comply with hospital and departmental policies and procedures.
  • Achieve assigned goals and objectives in a timely manner.

Qualifications

Education: A minimum of a high school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.

Experience: While prior housekeeping experience is preferred, it is not mandatory.
