Position Overview

The Preschool Instructor is responsible for guiding young learners through activities that foster their social, physical, and cognitive development, preparing them for future academic success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Designs and implements both individual and group activities aimed at enhancing language, social, and motor skills, such as listening to instructions, engaging in cooperative play, and utilizing educational resources.
  • Teaches children the importance of personal hygiene and self-care practices.
  • Balances active play with periods of rest to prevent overstimulation and fatigue.
  • Encourages children to take responsibility for their belongings by promoting habits of tidiness and organization.
  • Prepares and serves meals and snacks to children.
QualificationsEducation & Experience Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, or Child Development.
  • Demonstrated success in student teaching or classroom instruction.
  • Valid certification as required.
  • Familiarity with activities that promote language, social, and motor skill development.
  • Medical evaluation by a licensed healthcare provider (within three months prior to employment).
  • Completion of a state police background check and Safe Environment Program.
  • Child care background verification.
  • Active participation in a Roman Catholic parish community is preferred, or a willingness to engage in alignment with the Catholic Church's mission.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality in all matters.
  • Frequent interaction with young children, parents, and preschool staff requires professionalism and tact.
  • Accountable for the management of supplies and equipment necessary for the role.
