Job Title: Emergency Medicine Advanced Practice Provider

MUSC Health - Black River Medical Center is seeking skilled Physician Assistants or Nurse Practitioners to join their team of Emergency Medicine Advanced Practice Providers. Candidates will provide diagnostic, therapeutic, and preventive healthcare services for patients in Cades, SC, and the surrounding communities.

About the Role

This is a PRN position, which means you will work on an as-needed basis to provide care to patients in the Emergency Department. As an Advanced Practice Provider, you will work closely with our team of physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct care to patients through comprehensive history and physical examinations, diagnostic testing, and therapeutic interventions.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and optimal outcomes.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
  • Document patient information accurately and thoroughly in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program and current licensure as a Physician Assistant, or completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program and current licensure as an APRN.
  • 2 years of Emergency Room experience as an APP or graduation from an Emergency Room Fellowship.
  • Preferred experience as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner in an Adult Emergency Department.
  • Current certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
