Senior Principal Software Engineer

At RTX, we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Principal Software Engineer - Product Owner to join our team. As a key member of our Software Security Sensors and Effectors Department, you will lead the accomplishment of engineering tasks in an iterative development environment.
The successful candidate will communicate and work closely with the Integrated Product Team Lead (IPTL), Chief Product Owner (CPO), their team, the customer, and other Product Owners in support of a missile system development activity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical direction and lead a team of engineers to plan, assign, status, and guide all Agile tasks across the team.
- Attend technical interchange meetings with the team members and key stakeholders and represent the organization in matters pertaining to the development of projects.
- Provide status on assigned Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) tasks as required, provide document reviews, and resolve technical software engineering and integration issues.
Requirements:
- Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and 10+ years of engineering experience.
- Experience including at least two of the following: Embedded Software, Embedded Software Security, Embedded Operating Systems (Linux, RTOS, VxWorks, etc), Software Architecture Design and Implementation.
- Experience with C, C++, Python or other related objected oriented design languages.
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- SAFe Certified
- Systems Security Engineering experience
- Agile and Scrum experience
- Experience with Git, Microsoft Azure DevOps Server, and Jenkins.

This is a full-time onsite position located in our Tucson, AZ office. The salary range for this role is $118,000 USD - $246,000 USD. Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays.
