Ophthalmic Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Ophthalmic Technician to join our team at Florida Medical Clinic Orlando Health.
Job Summary:The Ophthalmic Technician will be responsible for assisting our ophthalmologists in patient care, performing visual acuity tests, and maintaining medical equipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong customer service orientation, basic computer proficiency, and a minimum of one year of experience in a similar role.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist ophthalmologists in patient care, including visual acuity tests and medical procedures
- Maintain medical equipment, ensuring it is calibrated, cleaned, sterilized, charged, and covered
- Handle patient and clinical messages, and perform incidental duties as needed
- Work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Certification as an Ophthalmic Assistant or Technician preferred but not required
- Strong customer service orientation and team player skills
- Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn new software
- Minimum of one year of experience in a similar role
