Position Overview

Closets by Design – Milwaukee is seeking meticulous CAD technicians with a robust understanding of cabinet fabrication. Familiarity with Cabinet Vision software and experience in designing and constructing bespoke cabinetry are advantageous.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate sales designs to confirm compliance with product offerings and installation standards.
  • Create precise cutlists detailing all components and machining needs based on the design.
  • Incorporate designs into Cabinet Vision software.
  • Collaborate with the Production Department to prepare and troubleshoot ongoing projects while enhancing order processing efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in drafting or design is essential.
  • Background in woodworking and cabinet construction is a plus.
  • Familiarity with various woodworking machinery, including CNC, is beneficial.
  • Manufacturing experience is preferred.
  • Prior experience in creating cutlists for cabinetry and organizational units is advantageous.

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in Cabinet Vision or similar drafting software is required.
  • Intermediate or advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
  • Exceptional organizational abilities and attention to detail.
  • Capability to manage and prioritize multiple projects effectively.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • A High School Diploma or equivalent is required; college education is preferred.

Comprehensive training will be provided to the selected candidate on all company products, project designs, and cutlisting techniques.
