Key Responsibilities
  • Emergency Management
    • Develop and implement emergency management plans, including business continuity and disaster recovery strategies.
    • Lead the Emergency Management Committee and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
    • Conduct risk and vulnerability assessments and develop mitigation strategies.
    • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure a safe and healing environment for patients, families, and staff.
  • Security Program Management
    • Develop and implement security policies and procedures to ensure a safe and secure environment.
    • Manage and oversee security personnel, including contracted security guards and police officers.
    • Conduct security risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies.
    • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure a safe and secure environment.
  • Leadership and Collaboration
    • Provide leadership and guidance to staff and contracted employees.
    • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure a safe and healing environment for patients, families, and staff.
    • Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including law enforcement and community agencies.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in safety, public health, facilities, security, law enforcement, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in inpatient healthcare, including safety compliance and emergency management.
  • Ability to travel to various Gillette sites.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory compliance, including Joint Commission and CARF.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to lead through emergency situations and act as the emergency management subject matter expert.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in business, safety, or emergency management.
  • Valid driver's license.
