About the Role

The Meat Department position is a vital part of our store's operations. As a key member of our team, you will provide customers with exceptional service, ensuring they have a positive experience and return to our stores. Our company, Honeoye Falls Marketplace, has been a family-run business for over 30 years, built on our core values of Community, Accountability, Respect, and Engagement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist customers with orders for meats, poultry, and seafood, providing expert knowledge and recommendations.
  • Cut, trim, and prepare meat and seafood products within the department, maintaining high standards of quality and presentation.
  • Stock and refill products in the department, ensuring a well-stocked and organized environment.
  • Maintain a thorough knowledge of all products and services offered in the meat and seafood department, advising customers on various cuts of meat and preparation methods.
  • Work effectively in both locations, Mendon and Honeoye Falls, providing seamless service to our customers.
Requirements
  • Minimum age of 18.
  • At least 2 years of friendly and welcoming customer service experience.
  • Retail meat department experience is required.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers and colleagues.
  • Highly motivated individual with a strong work ethic.
  • Team player with the ability to work independently at times.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and maintain a high level of productivity.
  • Focused and efficient, with the ability to stand, walk, lift, and bend for extended periods.
