Facilities Maintenance Technician 2nd Shift

Job Summary

As a Facilities Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to the maintenance and repair of facilities and equipment. This includes basic carpentry, painting, plumbing, and electrical systems. You will work under the direction of the Facilities Maintenance Supervisor and be required to work flexible shifts, including overtime, weekends, and holidays.

Essential Duties
  • Perform skilled maintenance tasks to ensure the continuous improvement of facilities and equipment.
  • Ensure all work is performed safely and to the client's standard.
  • Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems, including PVC piping and clearing drains.
  • Install, repair, and maintain electrical systems, including basic electrical components and air compressors.
  • Work independently and as part of a team to achieve goals and objectives.
Qualifications
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Team player with a positive attitude.
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
  • Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including stooping, bending, and manipulating tools in small spaces.
Preferred Experience
  • 2+ years of experience in facilities maintenance.
  • Carpentry, concrete work, and/or heavy equipment operator experience a plus.
  • Fire suppression system experience a plus.
  • Air compressor experience preferred.
Physical Requirements/Job Site Requirements
  • Must be able to complete hiring paperwork electronically through DocuSign.
  • Must be able to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Must possess enough strength and stamina to perform the technical duties and essential functions.
  • Must be able to move in and around confined spaces and uneven areas.
  • Must have full range of motion consistent with age.
  • Must be able to climb and maintain balance ladders.
  • Must be able to adequately hear and respond to voice commands and alerts from other employees, alarms, and other job-related noises.
  • Visual acuity, depth perception, and color discrimination consistent with that required to work at heights and on uneven surfaces.
  • Safety/Steel toe shoes are required.
