Bioinformatics Specialist

Job Summary:

The University of California, Santa Cruz is seeking a highly skilled Data Analyst to join its team. This is a remote position that requires the development and application of computational tools to analyze and interpret various research data. The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of bioinformatics methods, applications programming, web development, and data structures.

About the Role:
The Data Analyst will be responsible for analyzing existing programs or formulating logic for new systems, devising logic procedures, flowcharts, data analysis, coding, and testing/debugging programs. They will also track the flow of samples and information for large-scale studies and provide web-based bioinformatics solutions and facilitate access to both public and proprietary databases.

- Proficiency in bioinformatics programming design, modification, and implementation
- Familiarity with relational databases, web interfaces, and various operating systems

What We Offer:
- Salary: $91,300 - $106,000/year
