Job Description

INTEGRIS Health Medical Group Norman Orthopedic Central is seeking a Medical Assistant or LPN to join our team in Norman, OK. As a Medical Assistant or LPN, you will work closely with our healthcare professionals to provide exceptional care to our patients.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct patient care by taking vitals, patient history, venipuncture, lab, x-ray, referrals, and patient phone messages as directed by the provider and/or clinical supervisor.
  • Contribute to the assessment/re-assessment of patients and participate in the development of the plan of care, including implementation and evaluation of appropriate patient care interventions.
  • Monitor and document patient status, and report changes in patient status to the physician and initiate any new orders from the physician as directed.
  • Perform Venipuncture, EKG, Waived Testing, Bone Density, X Ray, and other procedures as assigned by the physician, manager or clinical supervisor.
  • Adhere to National Patient Safety Goals and follow standard precautions to ensure a safe and healthy environment for patients and staff.
Requirements:
  • Current nationally recognized Medical Assistant Certification/Registration; OR 6 months of Clinic MA experience; OR the ability to successfully complete the INTEGRIS Health Caregiver Placement Program (CPP).
  • 6 months customer service experience preferred.
  • CPR certification within 90 days of employment.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively in English (Verbal/Written).
