Sr. Application Engineer

Job Summary

The Sr. Application Engineer is responsible for supporting and working with customers, including distributors, agents, and end-user accounts. This role is part of a team providing high-performance engineered solutions to the market. Our products are highly engineered positive displacement screw pumps, where we have a long history of solving difficult fluid handling challenges in various industries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical sales and customer support for our industrial pump products.
  • Evaluate inquiries and specifications to create formal proposals for sales managers, distributors, and other customers.
  • Prepare quotations for products at the appropriate price, ensuring the quote meets the company's profitability and quality standards, and the customer delivery requirements.
  • Respond quickly to customer questions concerning correct selection of CIRCOR products, providing application assistance.
  • Support sales objectives and quotas.
  • Manage submittal drawings and other documents to support the quote process.
  • Provide technical assistance during the detailed engineering phase of inquiries and projects.
  • Analyze specifications, application data sheets, inquiry data sheets, or other similar documents to determine if the desired specifications can be met.
  • Prepare estimates/quotes and other pertinent data required to satisfy customer requirements.
  • Maintain and improve technical competency, staying current with changes in the industry.
  • Complete and maintain all required paperwork, quotes, quote log, and other required documentation.
  • Work directly with customers, potential customers, and sales people.
  • Learn and understand customer requirements and applications to make appropriate product recommendations.
  • Respond to various technical questions regarding products and systems solutions.
  • Review customer requirements and recommend applicable products and solutions.
  • Prepare and submit customer quotations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a technical field preferred.
  • 5+ years of relevant engineering experience with fluid handling equipment. Pump experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated good interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated high-level proficiency with computers, including MS Office Applications, sales order systems, etc.
  • Solutions-oriented.
