Preschool Lead Educator

Role Summary:

The Preschool Lead Educator is responsible for designing and executing educational activities that foster the holistic development of children. This role involves creating and sustaining a secure and nurturing learning atmosphere, utilizing high-quality educational experiences to support the growth of each child in collaboration with their families. Adherence to all relevant performance standards and licensing requirements is essential.

Compensation Structure:

Step 1: Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field & Director Qualification (DQ) agreement if not currently held.

  • $2,121.79 per pay period

Step 2: Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field and DQ agreement if not currently held.

  • $2,356.18 per pay period

About Community Partnership for Child Development:

Our organization serves over 1,800 children facing poverty or other challenges, providing early childhood education through various programs. We also offer health, dental, and family support services to ensure that children are prepared for success in their educational journeys and beyond.

Additional Benefits for Eligible Employees (25+ hours per week):

We provide paid vacation, sick leave, and holiday breaks.

  • Paid Holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Juneteenth, Presidents Day, and Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
  • Paid Breaks include one week for Spring Break, one week for Fall Break, and two weeks for Winter Break.

Tuition Assistance is available after 90 days of employment:

Requirements:

Mandatory:

  • Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field and Colorado Department of Human Services Director Qualification. Candidates not currently qualified must agree to obtain this certification immediately.
  • Experience in early childhood education, including curriculum planning, assessment, and fostering positive teacher-child interactions.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds.
  • First Aid and CPR certification within 90 days of employment.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment physical examination, TB test, drug test, and background check.
  • Access to reliable transportation and maintenance of minimum liability insurance if using a personal vehicle.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in early childhood education or a closely related field with 30 credits in early childhood education courses.
  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English.
