This position operates on the 2nd shift, from 3 PM to 11 PM.

Position Summary:

The Injection Molding Technician is responsible for operating an injection molding machine in accordance with established protocols and standards. You will be tasked with visually inspecting and packaging molded components to ensure compliance with inspection criteria.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • None

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate the molding machine as directed by Work Instructions, Lead Operator, Technician, or Supervisor.
  • Inspect molded parts for cosmetic imperfections as per the Inspection Instruction Sheet.
  • Report any molding issues to the Technician, Supervisor, or Lead Operator.
  • Convey any special instructions or quality concerns to other shifts.
  • Maintain a clean workspace and assist in keeping the molding area organized.
  • Provide support to relieve other operators during breaks when necessary.
  • Assist with additional tasks as required, such as annealing parts and organizing boxed and bagged items.
  • Input production data into the ERP system (PLEX).

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting.
  • Capability to perform well in a high-pressure environment.
  • Proficient in reading and understanding simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; able to write basic correspondence.
  • Ability to follow simple one- or two-step instructions.
  • Competence in handling standardized situations with minimal variables.
  • Basic mathematical skills are essential.
  • Proficient computer skills are required.

Education and Experience:

  • 0-1 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand for prolonged periods, up to 8 hours.
  • Must be able to lift items weighing up to 25 pounds.
  • Frequent standing, using hands to handle or feel objects, reaching with hands and arms, and occasional stooping, kneeling, or crouching.
  • Occasional walking and communication required.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
