Role Overview: As a cashier, you will play a vital role in ensuring customer satisfaction by efficiently processing transactions and providing outstanding service. You will be responsible for handling various payment methods and maintaining a high level of accuracy during sales operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Embrace and promote the core values of Family Farm and Home.
  • Assist in the onboarding and training of new cashiers.
  • Supervise daily activities of cashier staff to ensure compliance with operational standards.
  • Maintain accurate cash control records, including cash drawers and reconciliation logs.
  • Achieve satisfactory results on corporate cashier audits.
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization of the cash register area.
  • Communicate any cash discrepancies to management promptly.
  • Execute daily tasks and priorities as directed by store leadership.
  • Welcome customers as they enter and exit the store.
  • Process transactions, including issuing receipts and handling returns or exchanges.
  • Ensure that purchased items are properly packed and handed to customers.
  • Engage with customers in a friendly and positive manner.
  • Report any irregularities to the head cashier or management.
  • Complete all assigned tasks from store management.
  • Encourage customers to participate in loyalty programs and promotions.
  • Answer customer inquiries via phone.
  • Uphold store cleanliness and safety standards.
  • Assist with end-of-day closing procedures.
  • Foster a collaborative and positive work environment.

Qualifications:

Successful candidates will be flexible in their availability, including weekends and holidays. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask are essential. Candidates should be comfortable using basic computer systems and able to stand for extended periods, as well as perform physical tasks such as lifting.
