Leidos Engineering is seeking a seasoned Project Scheduler to join our team within the Power Delivery Solutions division. In this role, you will collaborate with project management and support functions to deliver high-quality project management services to various electric utility clients.

This opportunity involves overseeing a portfolio of electric utility projects, including capital transmission substation projects in Central Ohio. As a key member of our established Project Management Office (PMO), you will contribute to portfolio management, people leadership, and driving special initiatives.

The successful candidate will lead larger proposals, manage project managers, and ensure the timely delivery of projects while upholding Leidos' Mission, Vision, and Values.

We are part of an established Project Management Office (PMO) that provides consulting services to public-owned and investor-owned electric utilities nationwide. Our services encompass comprehensive engineering design of electrical transmission and distribution, substation, and transmission line projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop, maintain, and drive engineering and construction schedules for various-sized transmission & distribution projects.
  • Maintain proficiency with Primavera (P6).
  • Collaborate with project management using earned value techniques to align schedules and costs, including developing recovery plans to stay within approved limits.
  • Work with engineering leads and managers to track and execute client deliverables.
  • Develop schedule and controls reports for weekly/monthly reviews.
  • Interact directly with clients and internal management to report progress, schedules, and risks across a portfolio of distribution projects.
  • Assist project managers with creating and maintaining comprehensive project dashboard reports and KPI tracking.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree preferred in Project Management, Construction Management, Business, or related fields with four+ years of relevant experience.
  • Demonstrate recent expertise in electric power infrastructure projects within transmission or distribution design.
  • Show capability for planning, organizing, directing, and tracking technical efforts on assigned tasks.
  • Track cost and schedule status of assigned tasks.
  • Interact effectively with customer representatives.
  • Demonstrate success with a team approach to consulting services.
  • Strong writing and verbal communication skills.
