Together Women's Health, LLC is on the lookout for a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to enhance our dynamic team.
As a vital member of our healthcare team, the LPN will be responsible for delivering exceptional, personalized care to our patients and their families. This role involves collaborating with healthcare professionals and providing both physical and emotional support to patients.
This position is an excellent opportunity for newly licensed LPNs, as we offer comprehensive training.
The ideal candidate will possess a friendly demeanor, reliability, and a patient-centered approach, thriving in a fast-paced environment. Experience in obstetrics and gynecology is preferred but not mandatory.
Compensation: The salary range for this position is $25-27 per hour, depending on experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Document patient medical histories and symptoms, ensuring all medical records and lab results are accurate and complete.
- Utilize a collaborative approach to establish and achieve individualized care goals for patients.
- Recognize and appreciate the role of patients' significant others in the care process.
- Conduct telephone triage, provide patient education, and manage communications with physicians and pharmacies.
- Assist with clinical procedures, including administering immunizations and minor treatments, while meticulously documenting all activities.
- Complete necessary paperwork, such as lab test orders and medical notes.
- Advise patients on lifestyle changes, medication plans, and potential side effects, using appropriate communication techniques.
- Facilitate communication regarding follow-up appointments and necessary testing.
- Coordinate the ordering of tests and procedures with clinical staff.
- Act as a liaison between patients and physicians, addressing questions and concerns.
- Relay test results to patients as directed by the healthcare provider.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
- Current LPN license in the state of Illinois.
- BLS certification is required.
- Preferred: At least one year of experience as an LPN.
- Preferred: Experience in obstetrics and gynecology.
