Clinical Specimen Coordinator Job Description:

About the Role:
This position requires strong coordination and time management skills to ensure the smooth operation of phlebotomy services. You will work closely with the medical laboratory team to maintain accurate records and reports, while also providing guidance and support to junior staff members. Your ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively will be essential in meeting deadlines and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate phlebotomy activities and ensure compliance with established protocols.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports of phlebotomy services.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior staff members.
  • Collaborate with the medical laboratory team to achieve quality standards.

Requirements:
To be considered for this position, candidates must have a minimum of two years' experience in phlebotomy, preferably in a hospital setting. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, along with knowledge of venipuncture/phlebotomy and certification through a recognized agency such as ASCP, ASPT, or NCA. Experience working in a fast-paced environment is an asset.

Salary Estimate:
The estimated salary range for this position is $65,000-$80,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
