Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Pump Mechanic to join our team at DXP Enterprises. As a Pump Mechanic, you will be responsible for receiving, disassembling, inspecting, repairing, painting, and preparing for shipment API centrifugal pumps and other related rotating equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Repair and maintain API centrifugal pumps and other rotating equipment
  • Assist with training and developing Pump Mechanic personnel
  • Monitor progress of repairs and assign tasks to shop personnel
  • Interact with customers to provide excellent service
  • Assist the Supervisor in executing all work

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in a pump repair shop facility
  • Experience repairing API/Engineered pumps and creating detailed reports
  • In-depth understanding of API 610 and other applicable standards
  • Ability to read pump sectional drawings and OEM manuals
  • Disassembly, inspection, and repair skills
  • Safely use hand, power, pneumatic, and hydraulic tools
  • Experience with pneumatic and hydrostatic testing
  • Ability to work with multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Background check, physical, and drug test required

Additional Information:

Physical Demand: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Working Conditions: Must be able to work in a shop environment without AC and heat, with possible exposure to dirt, heat, and noise.

Training/Certifications: N/A

Shift Time/Overtime: Day shift and regular overtime

Travel: N/A

Education: High School Diploma or GED
