Economic Growth and Development Expert
We're looking for a highly skilled policy analyst to explore the economics and economic consequences of human progress. The successful candidate will engage with criticisms of human progress by dispelling false narratives, analyzing real problems arising from increasing material abundance, and developing proposals that aim at the continuation of human progress while mitigating harm to humanity and the planet within the framework of economic and civil freedoms.

Responsibilities
- Research and analyze complex information to evaluate policy alternatives
- Organize policy forums and other events about relevant policies
- Commission, edit, and publish external scholars' articles and studies

Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in public policy, research, or a related field
- Master's or PhD in economics focusing on economic growth and development, public goods and externalities, climate change and conservation, and poverty and redistribution
- Strong understanding of relevant economic literature and commitment to Cato's values of individual freedom and limited government
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools
