Job Summary

Murfreesboro City Schools is seeking a skilled School Nurse to join our team. As a School Nurse, you will be responsible for providing medical care and support to students in our schools.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer medical procedures and treatments to students as needed
  • Coordinate with parents and staff to ensure students receive necessary medical care
  • Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings to develop and implement student care plans
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records for students
  • Provide health-related updates to staff and parents in compliance with HIPAA and FERPA guidelines
  • Administer medications to students as needed
  • Work collaboratively with school staff to support student health and well-being
Requirements
  • Current LPN license as required by the State of Tennessee
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
  • Physical ability to lift and transfer students as needed
