Electroencephalography (EEG) Technician Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Electroencephalography (EEG) Technician to join our team at Lovelace Medical Center in Albuquerque, NM.

About the Role

As an EEG Technician, you will be responsible for utilizing electroencephalograph equipment to record electrical impulses from the brain. You will apply electrodes to predetermined positions on patients' scalps, take and verify recordings, and operate, maintain, and calibrate specialized equipment.

Responsibilities
  • Record electrical impulses from the brain using electroencephalograph equipment
  • Apply electrodes to patients' scalps and take and verify recordings
  • Operate, maintain, and calibrate specialized equipment
  • Monitor and transcribe physician orders and perform other support duties
  • Obtain insurance pre-certification and arrange for home and medical care
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need a High School Diploma or GED equivalent and one to three years of previous EEG experience. A graduate of an accredited electroeurodiagnostic technology program with some college-level coursework is preferred. Eligibility for or current registration by ABRET is also required.
