Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the production process, including setting up jobs, coordinating employee activities, and operating various types of equipment.
  • Evaluate daily customer demands and prioritize jobs to meet those demands.
  • Track the progress of each manufacturing order to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Coordinate machine maintenance and resolve machining or assembly problems.
  • Lead and motivate a team of production staff, providing guidance and support to ensure they have the resources and training needed to succeed.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); VoTech Trade school graduate preferred.
  • Completed Apprenticeship program or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum three years at Lead Machinist Level.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as blueprints and machine drawings, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to present numerical data effectively and write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
