Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Risk Management and Patient Safety to join our team at JobGet. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading our risk management and patient safety initiatives, ensuring the highest standards of care and safety for our patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective risk management strategies to minimize risks and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Lead the Patient Safety Council to identify and mitigate risks, and implement evidence-based practices to improve patient safety.
  • Conduct root cause analyses to identify and address systemic issues that may lead to adverse events.
  • Collaborate with department directors and the executive team to implement risk reduction strategies and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
  • Provide expertise on regulatory and compliance standards, and ensure that all staff members are aware of and comply with these standards.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with external stakeholders, including regulatory agencies and industry partners.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a related field, such as healthcare administration or risk management.
  • Minimum 2-5 years of experience in risk management, with a focus on patient safety.
  • Proven leadership experience, with a track record of success in leading teams and implementing change initiatives.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements, including The Joint Commission and CMS/DHS regulations.
