Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Development Specialist to join our team at MedStar Health. This is a critical role that requires expertise in clinical education, staff development, and quality improvement.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing educational programs that meet the needs of nursing staff across various departments. They will work closely with nurse managers, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to design and deliver high-quality training initiatives that improve patient outcomes and enhance the overall quality of care.

This is a key leadership position that requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to think critically and strategically. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nursing education, experience in teaching or professional development, and a proven track record of success in improving patient care and staff performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement educational programs that meet the needs of nursing staff across various departments.
  • Collaborate with nurse managers, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to design and deliver high-quality training initiatives.
  • Analyze data and evaluate the effectiveness of educational programs to inform future improvements.
  • Mentor and support colleagues in their professional development.
  • Stay up-to-date with current trends and developments in nursing practice, clinical instruction, and nursing education.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing required; Master's degree in Nursing, Healthcare, or related field preferred.
  • 3-4 years of progressively more responsible job-related experience in an acute care setting required.
  • Experience in teaching or professional development preferred.
  • RN licensure in the District of Columbia required; Specialty certification in nursing staff professional development or specific clinical specialty within one year of hire.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary range of $87,318.40 - $149,094.40, depending on experience, as well as a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, retirement savings, and paid time off.
