In this position, you will engage with patients and other callers to ascertain their requirements, process inquiries, escalate issues, and deliver effective solutions that guarantee a positive customer service experience with our organization.
The ideal candidate possesses a friendly demeanor, is proficient with technology, and can maintain composure in high-pressure situations.Key Responsibilities:
Handle a significant volume of incoming calls and emails
Determine the purpose of the caller's inquiry, gather pertinent information, and offer solutions
Utilize established scripts for various customer service scenarios
Employ best practices in customer service techniques to foster rapport and build relationships with clients
Document all interactions with customers
Achieve personal and team performance targets
Participate in training sessions to keep skills and knowledge current
Manage multiple tasks efficiently, demonstrate adaptability to new projects and protocols, and promote a collaborative team atmosphere
Connect callers to suitable medical resources proficiently
Assist patients with scheduling appointments through designated systems
Provide educational information to patients regarding healthcare providers, hospitals, and community resources
Compose reports, business correspondence, and procedural documents
Effectively communicate information and respond to inquiries from patients, providers, and the general public
Perform other duties as assigned by management
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED; a college degree is preferred
Prior experience in a Customer Service Representative role or similar position is advantageous
Comfortable using computers and customer management software; familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel is beneficial
Exceptional phone and verbal communication abilities
Knowledge of active listening techniques
Ability to perform well under pressure
Highly organized with strong project prioritization and time management skills
