Responsibilities:

  • Legal Support: Offer comprehensive legal advice and guidance to the sales team, ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies in the medical technology industry.
  • Commercial Contracts: Review, draft, and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts, including sales agreements, distribution agreements, and supplier agreements, to protect the company's interests and mitigate potential risks.
  • Contract Management: Assist in the roll out of a contract management platform.
  • Risk Assessment: Identify and assess legal risks associated with sales activities, providing proactive recommendations to mitigate potential liabilities.
  • Customer Agreements: Collaborate with the sales team to develop customer agreements tailored to specific SME clients, ensuring clear and enforceable terms that support business objectives.
  • Compliance: Stay updated on relevant legal and regulatory developments in the medical technology industry, advising the sales team on compliance matters and suggesting necessary adjustments to sales practices, as required.
  • Training: Conduct training sessions for the sales team to enhance their understanding of legal issues, contract negotiation, and compliance within the medical technology industry.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including the legal department, sales, marketing, and operations, to ensure alignment on legal matters and provide timely legal support.

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the state bar in the United States is preferred, but not essential.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant legal experience, preferably including experience in the healthcare, technology, or related field.
  • Strong background in commercial contracts, with experience in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a variety of agreements.
  • Proven ability to assess and mitigate legal risks while supporting business objectives.
  • Experience working with SMEs is desirable.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders and external clients.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail.
