Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Payroll Timekeeping Specialist to join our team at Trinity Health. As a key member of our payroll team, you will be responsible for supporting and performing day-to-day payroll activities for assigned ministries or service lines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support centralized management of the payroll tax function, including completing payroll tax reports and performing audits to ensure data is balanced appropriately.
  • Assist with quarter-end and year-end payroll activities (W-2/W-2cs) to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Run Kronos/Dimensions timekeeping reports and Workday Payroll reports to be used in performing pay period audits.
  • Process employee expense reimbursement forms and maintain confidentiality of all payroll and human resources information.
  • Assist with special projects related to system enhancements and quality improvements.
  • Monitor payroll team email inbox/ticket queue for employee inquiries and respond accordingly.
  • Process employee time correction forms and historical edits in timekeeping system.
  • Assist with analysis and correction of tax withholding and payment issues.
  • Process child support, creditor garnishments, and tax levies and submit to ADP.
Requirements
  • Associates degree in accounting or human resources; or one (1) to three (3) years of equivalent experience in payroll.
  • Experience in a multi-entity and multi-state organization handling payroll and payroll processes, payroll tax and state reciprocity rules, garnishments, payroll-related regulatory compliance including the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).
  • Familiarity with internal controls as related to the payroll function.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Good oral and written communication skills; comfortable communicating with all levels of the organization.
  • Strong analytical skills and can develop appropriate methodologies for collecting, summarizing, analyzing, and evaluating data.
  • Detail-oriented and able to meet established deadlines.
  • Strong personal computer skills, particularly Excel. Experience with Workday, Kronos/Dimensions timekeeping, and ADP tax services is preferred.
