Job Summary

SOL Engineering Services, LLC is seeking a Quality Assurance Inspector I to join our team. As a key member of our quality assurance team, you will be responsible for independently inspecting standardized procedure items or operations of limited difficulty. Your assignments will involve record-keeping, preparation of reports, inspection and testing, interpretation of plans and specifications, and observation of construction activities to ensure adherence to safety practices and requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpret plans and specifications relating to construction problems of normal difficulty
  • Resolve differences between plans and specifications
  • Provide authorization to approve minor deviations in construction methods and practices
  • Make final decisions on the acceptability of construction methods and practices, workmanship, materials, and the finished product
  • Review inspection reports for accuracy, completeness, and adequacy

Requirements:

  • Associate degree in engineering technology or science plus two years of experience in a related construction field
  • High school graduate or equivalent (GED) plus four years of experience in a related construction field
  • Working knowledge of construction industry codes and various crafts and their associated special processes, inspection, and testing techniques
  • Certifications from AWS, ACI, ICBO, ASNT, NACE, API etc. may be required for certain positions
  • Dependable and open communicator with basic computer skills and knowledge of spreadsheets
