Position Overview:
We are seeking a meticulous Senior Financial Specialist to join our finance team. The responsibilities of this role encompass the preparation of financial statements, conducting month-end closures, performing monthly account reconciliations, maintaining the general ledger, assisting with audit preparations, and executing various accounting tasks as assigned.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee financial operations for multiple e-commerce entities, including billing, collections, revenue reporting, and account reconciliations.
  • Prepare, review, and post complex general ledger account reconciliations accurately and timely.
  • Track and reconcile Capital Expenditures and Fixed Assets.
  • Prepare and review outsourced sales and use tax filings.
  • Monitor daily transactions, identify, research, and reconcile account discrepancies through detailed analysis with a focus on process enhancement.
  • Engage in month-end closing activities, including journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, variance explanations, financial reporting, and consolidation.
  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of general ledger records, reconciling cash, investments, prepaid expenses, fixed and intangible assets, accounts payable, accrued expenses, and intercompany accounts.
  • Adhere to accounting policies and reporting deadlines.
  • Prepare and review schedules for internal and external auditors during reviews and audits.
  • Provide management with insights for informed decision-making by identifying issues and generating comprehensive management reports.
  • Establish and maintain effective cross-functional relationships, delivering exceptional customer service to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance is required; public accounting experience is advantageous.
  • A minimum of 5 years of accounting experience in complex organizations.
  • Experience in an e-commerce environment is essential.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with strong financial analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong organizational capabilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly advanced Excel functions.
  • Experience in the entertainment or venue sector is preferred.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems, particularly NetSuite, is highly desirable.
  • Solid understanding of US GAAP accounting principles.
  • Strong mathematical skills and a high aptitude for figures.
  • Effective time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
