About the Position:

  • Provide comprehensive psychiatric services to patients, including evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment planning.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and external healthcare providers.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and hospital standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough evaluations and assessments of patients' medical and psychiatric needs.
  • Prescribe evidence-based treatments and medications while considering safety, effectiveness, and cost.
  • Document treatment plans and progress notes in a timely manner.
  • Respond to emergency situations and manage seclusion or restraint orders as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of medical school and an approved residency in Psychiatry.
  • Current and active medical license in the state of Kansas.
  • Knowledge and experience in psychiatric and medical medication management.
  • Proficiency with electronic health record systems.
