Main Responsibilities:
- Drive company trucks to delivery sites and unload fuel to customers, dealers, and stores in a timely and efficient manner.
- Load and unload various types of fuels to be transported to site, ensuring accurate inventory management and minimizing waste.
- Comply with federal, state, local, and company rules and regulations for operating and transporting hazardous loads in a commercial vehicle, prioritizing safety above all else.
- Use tablet technology for receiving loads, submitting paperwork, and running logs, maintaining accurate records and meeting deadlines.
- Complete and submit driver's logs, BOLs, and delivery tickets daily, providing transparency and accountability throughout the delivery process.
- Represent Hutchinson Oil in a professional manner to employees, customers, and the trucking industry, fostering strong relationships and promoting our brand values.
- Comply with company safety and code of conduct standards, adhering to industry best practices and maintaining a safe working environment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including the truck and equipment, to ensure efficiency and productivity.
Maintenance and Repair:
- Perform routine cleaning and maintenance on trucks, including oil changes and other scheduled services, to prevent breakdowns and extend vehicle lifespan.
- Ensure out-sourced services, such as oil changes, are completed at the appropriate times and mechanical problems are reported to the supervisor promptly.
Customer Service and Communication:
- Communicate effectively with dealers and customers to ensure accurate fuel deliveries and resolve any issues that may arise during the delivery process.
- Perform mathematical computations with accuracy to compute tickets on location, figure gallons, prices, and applicable sales tax, providing transparent and fair pricing.
- Ensure customers and dealers receive fuel in the most timely manner possible, at the direction of their Supervisor, prioritizing customer satisfaction and building long-term relationships.
Essential Requirements:
- Work nights, weekends, and holidays, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in your schedule to meet business needs.
- Work with a minimum amount of supervision, taking initiative and exercising sound judgment in decision-making.
- Independently apply and carry out policies and procedures within assigned area of responsibility, maintaining a high level of autonomy and accountability.
