Job Description:

As an Automotive Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for conducting inspections and diagnostic tests to determine vehicle/equipment condition. You will also complete preventive maintenance schedules and inspections to keep equipment available for use.

  • You will correct vehicle deficiencies by repairing or replacing various components and systems.
  • Conduct test drives to verify vehicle performance, adjusting controls and systems as necessary.
  • Comply with federal and state vehicle requirements.
  • Keep detailed records of services and repairs.

You will also manage shop equipment, including troubleshooting and preventive maintenance. Control costs by utilizing warranties and evaluating service/part options. Maintain inventory of supplies and parts.

Additionally, you will provide excellent customer service, including effective communication with clients regarding their vehicles. Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related tasks as needed.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you must have a GED, valid driver's license, proven experience as a mechanic, own tools, and pass a background check.
