Reliability Engineer

Southwire Company, LLC is a leading manufacturer of wire and cable products, and we are seeking a highly skilled Reliability Engineer to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing reliability best practices, evaluating new technologies, and collaborating with plant teams to identify and implement reliability improvement opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate equipment history to identify reliability improvement opportunities
  • Deploy root cause analysis methods and tools to resolve problems or failures
  • Participate in new equipment selection and deployment processes to ensure reliability and maintainability
  • Support Autonomous Maintenance process by contributing to the design and selection of operator inspections and tasks
  • Promote reliability strategies, including planned corrective maintenance, time-based preventive maintenance, and condition-based maintenance
  • Participate in audits to measure and validate progression and performance in the reliability journey
  • Utilize reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) principles to optimize equipment maintenance strategy

Requirements:

  • Four-year BS degree in a relevant field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment with a focus on reliability and maintainability
  • Strong knowledge of methodologies, including FMECA, RCA, RCM, and TPM
  • Ability to train others on reliability activities and facilitate analyses that utilize reliability methodologies
